The Official 2016 WSOP Copag Playing Cards Are Here!

SALVATORE APODACA - Sunday, May 07, 2017

(get Lace cards here) (get Main Event cards here)

With over 6700 entrants in 2016 the popularity of the World Series Of Poker doesn't seem to be waning one bit. And every year we get a new batch of the official cards to sell to the masses. They go pretty quick so you'll probably want to get your hands on them right away. You can put them into play while the 2017 WSOP begins or just keep them in their packaging like so many collectors out there.

Here's the official spiel from the manufacturer...

"Poker enthusiasts will love this 2016 World Series of Poker playing card set. Brand new, sealed and never used, this set is a must-have for any collector. These are the very same 100% plastic playing cards used by all World Series of Poker players who participated in the tournament at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Paradise, Nevada. The same cards Qui Nguyen used when he took home $8 million and the coveted bracelet last year."

And don't forget that Copag is still one of the best card manufacturers in the world. Manufactured in Brazil by Copag, these cards are made from Copag's proprietary 100% acetate plastic. Seasoned players know that Copag cards last longer, shuffle better, and deal so fluidly that you'll never want to play with another paper or vinyl card ever again.

Poker Chip Forum at http://www.pokerchipforum.com/
Chiptalk at http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/
and Home Poker Tourney at http://homepokertourney.com/

Social media played a huge role in our success especially Facebook and Twitter

Thank you all for making this a reality especially for our earliest backers who have been so patient and so supportive (denoted by ** before their names) and our largest donors (denoted by three plus signs after their name).

We will submit the artwork hopefully after the weekend. It takes Kickstarter a little time to collect all the funds from the backers. But we should ship the final product next month. I'm really looking forward to getting this started. Thank you all again.

Help Us Fund Our Kickstarter Campaign!

SALVATORE APODACA - Tuesday, August 18, 2015

This is our first Kickstarter campaign. I'm actually pretty excited about it but we're going to need your help. Of course not everyone needs to seat 40 people for a poker tournament but we are hoping that even if you aren't our target audience for this project you might still pitch in a buck or more.

Check it out...

Tournament Seating System Kickstarter Campaign

We are seeking funding for our newest Tournament Seating Chips. This system helps you to seat players using the tools of the trade – poker chips. Each seat has a numbered chip. Each table marker has a color or theme. So you can easily seat up to 40 players with ease. For random seating you simply lay all your seating chips face down on your main table or a side area and they all look exactly the same.

A player can just pick a chip when he or she registers. The chip will have his/her table color/theme and his seat number. It can be recorded by the registrar and the player can be seated. It's a simple, random and transparent system.

It's also attractive and a great conversation starter. I mean check out the theme - heraldry. Who can resist dragons, lions, double-headed eagles and sexy mermaids? But really we're just hoping this will help some of our customers who need to seat players efficiently for tournaments or other games.

Check out the artwork and the setups below...

If you are interested in the product or you just want to help us fund the campaign follow the link at the top of the article. Or maybe you know someone who might be interested in this project. You can share the campaign using this link...

Thank you for your interest and assistance.

Rounders Replica Ceramic Chips Pre-Order NOW!

SALVATORE APODACA - Sunday, August 02, 2015

"Rounders" is a classic of poker cinema in which the character "Teddy KGB" is a Russian gangster who runs an underground poker club. His house chips are branded with a bear in keeping with the Russian theme. The chips made for the film were originally a clay chip and have been replicated many times since the release of the film. We have finally decided to fashion our own version of the design except we went a step further and added high denomination plaques, a bounty button and a dealer button which I'm quite sure have never been offered before.

You can check them all out and pre-order them right here:

http://www.oldwestpokersupplies.com/shop/stock-ceramic-poker-chips/rounders-replicas

As stated in our previous announcement these chips are in the prototype stage which means the design may be tweaked very slightly but if you like the current design and are quite prepared to move forward we can customize a set for you right now. Just send us an email.

Here are the new additions to the set.

A couple of high denomination plaques for the big kids table...

And check out the new bounty and dealer buttons! I love these designs. They scream "red scare". lol.

Rounders Poker Chip Replica Pre-Release Announcement

SALVATORE APODACA - Friday, July 31, 2015

Hey there partners. Or should I say "привет" for you Russian speakers. Check it out. We've finally decided to offer our version of the poker chips used by Teddy KGB in the film "Rounders". That's right. Break out the Oreos. The replicas have originally been done a lot in the clay variety so this is not ground breaking or anything we just wanted to give ceramics fans a chance to have a set as well. Plus because they are ceramic they are fully customizable. If you want to change anything it's your call.

Pre-orders are available at the link below...

http://www.oldwestpokersupplies.com/shop/stock-ceramic-poker-chips/rounders-replicas

These are currently in the prototype phase but you should be able to pre-order them as soon as August 1st. Yes, that's tomorrow. So you can pre-order samples sets and full sets. Send us an email if you have any questions at all. You can also ask us to customize your own version of this famous poker chip design and get it printed before everyone else gets their hands on the stock version. But you're going to have to handle Worm on your own. Keep him away from these beauties. (Such a perfect name for that character by the way.)

We will also be releasing plaques in the square and oval versions, as well as a dealer button. We're going "all in" with this set. Was that too much? lol. I'll update with the links for the pre-orders as soon as they become available. Do svidanya!

Poker in the News June 5th, 2015

SALVATORE APODACA - Friday, June 05, 2015

Of course the World Series of Poker is well underway folks. I hope some of our customers are able to make it to Las Vegas and participate. Every year I tell myself I'd love to buy in to an event but I just never do it. Now they have this amazing Colossus event. 22,374 entries? Are you kidding me? What kind of master tournament director is in charge of that thing?

And they're investigating this guy, Valeriu Coca, who is suspected of marking cards in the Heads Up Event. Wow, you gotta have some real cajones to pull off a cheat in a big recorded event like that. You'd think the idea of just playing poker on the biggest stage would be challenging enough.

Sounds like this will make for some good viewing later this summer.
